Cub scouting for everyone project 2 workshop For asst.district commissioner (cub) and district cub scout leader’s 04th & 05th December 2021
The Cub Scouting for Everyone Stage 2 Workshop was Inaugurated this morning 4th December 2021 at the Royal Classic Hotel in Kandy.
32 of the 37 Scout Districts are participating. The main objective being to increase the number of cub scouts with high standards. The program commenced
with the address by Mr. Sarath Matararachchi National Program Commissioner followed by the Chief Commissioner Mr. Janaprith Fernando’s address.
He requested all districts to see that this project is implemented to increase he growth. He also stressed the importance of starting Open Scout Groups.
Mrs. Wathsala Wijewickrema in her address gave a detailed position of the project work carried out and the activities to be carried out in future.
Mrs. Renuka Silva Deputy Project Leader proposed the Vote of Thanks. This is a MOP project in collaboration with Asia Pacific Region. Workshop will conclude on Sunday 5th December.
